I take pride in my work as an accredited Orkney guide.

I presently work for the Balfour Estate and Balfour Castle on the island of Shapinsay. I manage the estate and guide Castle guests around Orkney. As such I am not generally available to book privately but please feel free to contact me for information about Balfour Castle, the Balfour Estates and Shapinsay in general.

Tours of the Castle will not be available to non-residents this year except on a few special dates which may be selected at short notice. If you would like to be kept informed of these by email or SMS message just send me the appropriate information and I will add you to our mailing list.

Driver-guides and their vehicles are licensed by the Orkney Islands Council or the Department of Transport depending on the size of the vehicle, and whilst we believe that all our driver-guides are suitably insured and licensed it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself regarding this at the time of booking.
