Pat Stone

I am a qualified guide with a passion for the magical Orkney Islands.

I qualified as an STGA Orkney Tourist Guide in 2004. In 2005 I also qualified as a Guide Trainer and now train all new Orkney Tourist Guides.

Any tour can tailor made to you requirements should you so wish to mirror your interests and the time you have available. The tours are always entertaining as well as informative and give a true insight into life here in Orkney.

My tours of Orkney cover the many varied aspects of the islands, including history (from the Stone Age to 20th Century), archaeology, flora and fauna, local culture and farming.

My special area of interest is the wonderful local food and drink that is produced here in Orkney – everything from whisky & seafood to naturally grass reared meat and farmhouse style cheeses. I have been privileged to represent our exceptional island produce via Orkney Quality Food and Drink & Taste of Orkney at many prestigious events, including the BBC Good Food Show and the Country Living Fair.

If you wish to add another dimension to your Orkney Tour why not let me plan an “Orkney Gourmet Experience” for you?
